Bone Series : Objects, Mixed Media X-ray : Single Channel Video, 10 min 48 sec Roop
This project interprets the exhibition space as a bathroom, both a functional and symbolic place. I created a series of sculptural objects named after different “bones,” each imagined as a performer representing a facet of society. The bathroom becomes a stage where these objects act, drawing attention to their material presence and social associations.
Alongside the sculptures, there is X-ray, a video installation combining their movements with stories and texts about stone, bone, and human origins. Developed within a Hospital project, the work reflects on hygiene as a modern concept shaped by Western modernity, colonial history, and social control. It contrasts the idea of perfect sterility with the reality of living among diverse bodies, microbes, and environments, using the bathroom as a place to reconsider the relationships between technology, water, and the body.
